March Shakespeare Anyone? Updates

Shakespeare Anyone?

What we've been up to in the month of March

Happy March!

This has been a HUGE month for us...we won an award!

Shakespeare Anyone? has been awarded the 2026 Shakespeare Publics Award (Large Scale) by the Shakespeare Association of America.

The Shakespeare Association of America (SAA) is a non-profit professional organization for the advanced academic study of William Shakespeare’s plays and poems, his cultural and theatrical contexts, and the many roles these have played in world culture. The Shakespeare Publics Award recognizes pioneering and/or culturally significant efforts to foster, engage, support and sustain broad and diverse Shakespeare publics through teaching, scholarship, performance and/or activism.

Shakespeare Anyone? Podcast

We are two Shakespeare nerds who decided to make a podcast about our love for Shakespeare. In this podcast, we will tackle as many dimensions to Shakespeare’s plays as we can by looking at the text and how the text is viewed through modern lenses of feminism, racism, classism, colonialism, nationalism… all the-isms. We will discuss how his plays shaped both the past and present. And, as actors, we will look at how his work was performed throughout various periods of time. All while trying our best to approach his works without giving in to bardolatry. So...Shakespeare Anyone?
